A reason to get out of bed every day of your life!

Trusting when it still doesn’t make sense

So, we got the news today… saw it with my own eyes.  We have the “bad” Chinese dry wall…  sulphur in the sheet rock.  The signs are there inside the wall.  So – we can’t launch this new community for a long while.

Good news:  We have the sheet rock by the distributor who has settled and we will most probably be included in the class action law suit.
Bad news:  It takes a year plus – before we can go back on the market.  AND we cannot do this ourselves – it’ll cost $65K, before the costs of living outside our home during the work.  So… well, we’re stuffed.
Trust: We KNOW He is calling us to go to the Faubourg Marigny!  BUT we can’t move!   So, we’re LEARNING to be content, LEARNING to trust.  We’re striving for ways to be present in that neighborhood and NOT be there.  Hard, but we MUST be faithful to our mandate.

Even now, we WILL (will ourselves) to praise Him.  Doesn’t feel clean and nice – still gritty – but we’re getting there.

  1. Oddly, I often find it easier to accept what I cannot change. Situations where my actions may change the outcome cause me far more angst. Good luck,, my friend.
